Mack Library access

The staff of the Mack Library is ready to assist our faculty, staff, and students to help them as we work together to pivot in delivering our academics online. You can access our services in a variety of ways. Our online resources are available to you 24/7 through Internet access at http://library.bju.edu. We will be setting up a chat service through our LibGuides service which will allow you to have real time access with a member of our library staff. We will also be available by phone, by email, and in person. The library will be open from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday for BJU faculty and staff and BJA HS faculty and staff until further notice. We will seek creative ways to assist those in the BJU family whose lives may not fit in those hours. Access to the Mack Library building will be by BJU-issued ID cards until further notice.

Returning library books

Mack Library will honor due dates on all books. Books that are needed for course projects may be taken home. You may renew books online from home or contact library@bju.edu for an extension on the return. Update: if you had books checked out as of June 4, 2020, the due date was extended to August 28 (could vary slightly up to September 1). Look for an extension notice e-mail sent from the Mack Library computer on June 4, 2020. If you are coming back to campus, bring your books with you. Otherwise, you have some additional time to ship them back.

For those who live in South Carolina, you may return your books to a participating PASCAL Library. You will need to check with your academic library in your area for their hours and their response to COVID-19.

If the cancellation of BJU events is extended through Commencement, then you will need to ship the books back to Mack Library at your expense.
